We can work with both Mac and PC formatted disks created in the following applications:

We cannot work with artwork prepared in Microsoft Word, Publisher, PowerPoint, Lotus WordPro, Paint, Excel, WordPerfect.

Printouts of Your Artwork

If your job is to be printed in more than one color, please provide a color laser as well as separated lasers. We will not attempt to reproduce a job that arrives on disk without accompanying lasers. Please check your job carefully before sending your disk to us.

Linked Files and Fonts

Be sure to include on your disk all supporting files. This simplifies and speeds up the linking process, and helps avoid additional production charges.

Include both screen and printer versions of each font used. Include fonts used in all linked files. True Type fonts tend to cause a higher rate of problems than Postscript fonts.

Disk Specifications

The printable area for standard size book covers is 11"x19". The maximum printable area for extra large covers is 13"x23".

Negatives will be produced from disks and an additional charge will be added.

Save as TIFF or EPS files. (PICT files will not separate correctly.) Convert RGB images to CMYK.

Crop and rotate images in their original applications to minimize file size.

Please check your work carefully before you send it to us!

Black and White and Color Key Proofs are available for an additional charge. Color Key proofs are prepared for all 4-color process jobs, and fax proofs are sent on all other jobs. Your immediate response to these proofs is appreciated, as we adhere to very tight press scheduling and production planning.
